The path to becoming a published author can be a very satisfying process but ofttimes it can lead to not only confusion and discouragement, even a loss of momentum. This “home page guide” is intended to bring you step-by-step, from your finished manuscript, to that day in the near future when you can shift from simply calling yourself a writer or a website owner, to recognizing yourself as a published author or Internet blogger.

The information presented here, while not rocket science, does require a certain amount of careful consideration before a full understanding can be had of the individual steps. Also needed is a measure of dedication—which you may have already exhibited as a writer—since some steps require repeated visits to new online accounts to verify and/or add or change data submitted to the respective publishing entity.

As a professional copywriter, I maintain a “fiduciary” role with all my clients, meaning that I do not enter into “non-disclosure” agreements with my clients, as this role does not necessitate this type of relationship. In the same sense that doctors and lawyers protect and maintain your privacy against all inquiries, so too do I maintain the secrecy of all your documents, images and publishing accounts, including usernames and passwords.

If this policy is not acceptable, then perhaps you should seek publication assistance elsewhere. My reputation is my word, and I have many satisfied clients who can attest to that fact, and far too much work of my own to resort to stealing yours.

Depending on the nature of your project, at some point along the path, I will open several required, new online publishing-related accounts for you that are ultimately designed to get you closer to your goal. Some are free; others require registration and/or maintenance fees, which will be your responsibility to pay before your project can proceed.

These accounts, among others, should include:

• Kindle Direct Publishing (pbook/ebook)
• Bowker Identifier Services (ISBNs)
• Library of Congress (Preassigned Control Number/Cataloging)
• GoDaddy (domain/website/blog)
• Mail Chimp (newsletters/autoresponders)

In terms of file transfer and/or sharing, I dislike email, and prefer Dropbox, not only for its ease of use (drag & drop/copy & paste), but for its 256-bit security, which is among the highest security available on the Internet at present. I will, however, consider Google Drive, if you are unfamiliar with the workings of Dropbox. I can accommodate either.

I offer professional packages in several major and distinct areas:

• Editing (content); Publishing (project management & facilitation)
• Formatting (technical organization for both ebooks & pbooks)
• Web Development (webmaster, website design & implementation).

I work on what is known as a “Value Added” basis, and never from hourly quotes. If I quote you a price, it is for the entire project, and will include everything that comes with that particular project, as specified on my Services page at my website (https://thecopywritingwhiz.com/services).

Value Added simply means that your project has a specific, end product value to you: what is commonly referred to as an income stream. So too, because of the amount of work that I dedicate myself to in getting your book published, or your website built and functioning properly, your project has a specific, monetary value to me. Hence, the quote I give you is a percentage of what I estimate your project’s Added Value will be in the future. Whether you achieve that future Value Added goal or not is entirely up to you.

My prices are very competitive; in fact, they are, for the most part, 50-80% lower than what the majority of my direct online competition has to offer. Do a little “due diligence” on a search engine if you have any doubt. In some cases, my project fees are billable on an automatic and recurring monthly basis. In others, my project fees must be paid in full before the project can proceed. This is not negotiable.

When you are ready to proceed with my evaluation and/or getting a project quote, contact me: https://thecopywritingwhiz.com/contact.

I will respond within 48 hours.I look forward to working with you in the very near future!
